Students: It pulls from your class materials to help you quiz yourself, understand hard topics, and track what you’ve mastered—automatically.

Administrators: LearningClues integrates with your LMS to automate ingestion of instructional content and align AI-generated outputs with institutional learning outcomes and reporting.

How much effort is asked of the instructor?

Faculty: Very little. You keep using your LMS and lecture tools as usual. LearningClues auto-ingests materials and offers previews of generated questions. You can review/edit content at your discretion and set when it’s visible to students.

How does LearningClues help the instructor?

Can I control when LearningClues is available to students?

How are questions generated?

Faculty: LearningClues segments your course video transcripts and LMS documents into topics, then generates multiple-choice and open-ended questions using domain-adapted AI. You can review and approve/edit them.

Students: Questions come from your actual course videos and documents—not random web data.

Are questions aligned to the course learning objectives?

Faculty / Admins: Yes. Questions are categorized across Bloom’s levels (recall, application, analysis, etc.) and optionally linked to your stated learning objectives or outcomes framework.

Can instructors edit or approve auto-generated questions?

Faculty: Yes. You can accept, reject, or revise questions.

How does the system measure student proficiency or learning growth?

Faculty / Admins: It estimates student proficiency by tracking responses over time across learning objectives, showing growth both within and across courses—enabling cross-course and longitudinal analysis.

Privacy, Security & Compliance

Are my class recordings and course documents secure?

Faculty / Admins: Yes. All content is encrypted and stored in a secure, access-controlled AWS environment. Data is isolated by institution and never used to train third-party AI models.

Does LearningClues comply with FERPA and other educational data privacy laws?

Faculty / Admins: Yes. LearningClues is FERPA-aligned, SOC-2 compliant, and offers institutional controls for data access, deletion, and usage auditing.

Is student data shared with third parties or used to train AI models?

Students / Admins: No. Student and course data remain private and are not shared or used to train any external models.

Where is the content stored, and who controls it?

Admins: Content is stored securely in the U.S. on AWS. Each institution retains ownership of its materials and controls access via LMS and admin dashboards.

Does LearningClues integrate with our LMS (e.g., Canvas, D2L)?

Admins: Yes. LearningClues supports LTI 1.3 for seamless integration with Canvas, D2L Brightspace, and other platforms.

What does setup involve for an institution?

Admins: A lightweight LTI integration, followed by content ingestion (usually automatic), and access provisioning for courses or departments. Pilot setup takes under a week.

How long does it take to onboard a course?

Faculty: Most courses are onboarded in less than 48 hours after LMS access is granted.

Does LearningClues work with video platforms like Kaltura, Panopto, Zoom, or YouTube?

Faculty: Yes. LearningClues auto-ingests transcripts and metadata from supported video sources, including YouTube links shared in the LMS.
